Joe Sherwood, Ph.D.
Dr. Joseph Sherwood is a Research Associate at Pacific Research and Evaluation (PRE). Joe completed his doctorate from Portland State University with emphasis in industrial-organizational psychology and occupational health psychology. He has been conducting research for the past 15 years in academic, government, and industry settings and for a wide range of organizational sizes, industry types, and workforce challenges. Prior to joining PRE, Joe worked for SAP, a technology company that developed cloud-based workforce and talent management software. While there, he partnered with several client organizations to conduct qualitative and quantitative research, as well as communicate and consult with organizational leaders and HR professionals on workforce strategy and change management. More recently, he worked for a large conglomerate of government contractor agencies spanning many industries to aid with the development and roll-out of their first strategic talent management plan. Joe is passionate about using research methods and data and to develop systems that improve the lives and health of workers and enhance the effectiveness of organizations. Joe loves sharing his knowledge and continues to teach undergraduate students as an adjunct professor at Gonzaga University.
